I forgot a couple of things:
- Somehow I thought the 6 months clothes were still so big and didn't bring them out until a couple of weeks ago. They fit perfectly, as in he'll-be-over-those-too-soon perfectly. In fact, the onesies are already a little too small. That's why you don't really need much clothes at this stage, they'll be out of them in no time.
- That 4th month wakeful period? Oh, yeah, baby, we're there. He's definitely teething, and his sleep patterns are all over the place. Now, I know this seems like such a lame thing to complain about because I know others still wake up several times every night, but not Evan. Evan wakes up once, close to 5 am, that's it. Actually, that was it. He's had a couple of nights when he has woken up twice (::insert shocked emoticon here:: I know, I know...), and when he wakes up once, it's more around 3-4 am, so I don't get as much continuous sleep as I used to. And his naps are very rarely longer than 45 minutes now because his gums hurts (or that's my theory, feel free to bring that one down), so that means no nap for mommy. Also, he complains a lot more now when he starts eating than he ever did. I think he figured out if he cries, milk will come down without him having to suck so much to get it started, so he just barely starts sucking when he pulls away and starts crying. He does this repeatedly until he gets what he wants: let down, quick and fast. Maybe you think I'm giving him too much credit, but I think he's a clever one. He stands more sucking when he doesn't seem to be in pain, but he will still pull away and cry to get things moving.
- When he's being Mr. CrankyPants, looking outside the window to the trees calms him down. I just think that's amazing.
- He's starting to show interest in food. He will look at my plate and follow the food to my mouth with his eyes, and he has grabbed my plate a couple of times.
- He's down to one poop per day (I'm sure y'all find that fascinating!)
- I guess this one should go in the 5 month old list, but whatever. He tried to eat his toes a couple of nights ago. He's so incredibly adorable! (then again, I'm biased ;) )
