About us

We are not into wasting time. We met in 2007, married in 2008, got a second puppy in 2009, had an amazing boy named Evan in 2010, and a beautiful little girl named Joan in 2011. Add moves around the country, and finally buying a house, and you get a truly blessed life!

We set up this blog to keep our families updated on our first pregnancy, and it has turned into a blog to share our journey as parents with friends and family.

For those of you wondering about the title of our blog “A 1000 things +2” here is the background. During our courtship the song “1000 Things” by Jason Mraz became an anthem of sorts. In fact, it was the song that we chose to have playing during the slideshow portion of our wedding reception. Basically, the song is about how everything that we had ever dreamed of we found in each other. Well, now we have two more things to add to that list of fulfilled dreams: our little Bug and our little Bear.
